There are times when God leads us beside still waters and times when He leads us through the valley of the shadow of death (see Psalm 23). After my recent surgery, I need to make sure I communicate clearly that God doesn't love me more now than He did in the summer of 2008. I just had surgery in November 2009 where God led me beside still waters and my road was easy. In the summer of 2008, I had surgery that was not easy. I had a time in the valley of the shadow of death, but even there He was with me and comforted me and was working out His purposes in my life and in my family. He loves me now as He loved me last year. He is working out His will for me in different ways - some easy and some hard. God abounds in love and faithfulness (Psalm 86:1) towards His children. Are you one of His children? Do you love Him? If you love Him, keep His commands (John 14:15).
Why the name "bLog in Your Own Eye"?
Matthew 7:3 - 5 "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."
We should all endeavor to think rightly about ourselves and graciously about one another. We all have specks and logs in our eyes.
