Why the name "bLog in Your Own Eye"?

Matthew 7:3 - 5 "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."

We should all endeavor to think rightly about ourselves and graciously about one another. We all have specks and logs in our eyes.

Musings

I see this blog has not been updated in a while... My Father and Sister have abilities to post...but they don't for some reason. This isn't my blog. It is supposedly my family's blog. Father is busy- Sis is...I don't actually know why she doesn't post. But here is my post, for all it's worth.

I have nothing in particular to tell about so I will catch up on some things I haven't done in a while.

Learn your language:
The word: Friend
Definition:
a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
Synonyms: comrade, chum, buddy, pal

Friends. Everyone has a friend. If you think you don't, look to Jesus and read the hymn "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". Nowadays, friends are the people who send you virtual "friend" invites on one of the thousands of social networking sites. One of the reasons I do not have a Facebook is that it completely ruins your social skills to where you have difficulties associating properly with people. Another cause of these bad social skills is texting. I have no cell phone so it is not a problem for me currently. When I do get a phone, I will specifically ask my parents to keep strict rules for texting because it engulfs you without your knowledge. I know multiple people who have their phone with them 24/7. Even when they are with other friends, they still text in front of them. If you think about it, texting in public is like having someone talk to you but another friend walks up and you start talking to the new person while ignoring the other one. And unlike in person, people can be more prone to say things about other people, or things that should never be said even in person. If you text, are you aware of the surrounding world? As Ferris Bueller once wisely said, "
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.".

Wow, that paragraph drifted off topic a bit. But it didn't really have a topic to begin with, did it?
