Why the name "bLog in Your Own Eye"?

Matthew 7:3 - 5 "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."

We should all endeavor to think rightly about ourselves and graciously about one another. We all have specks and logs in our eyes.

Crazy kinda lovin'

I like country music. And if you listen to country music even just a tiny little bit, you would know that 98.5% of the songs are about love. Most of the songs are either woes, or happy songs. One day, I heard a song on the radio and was very excited to hear a song I might actually pay 99 cents for on iTunes. So I bought it, and still when I hear it on the radio or my iPod, I love it. I turn it up. It tells the story of how love works. You do not sit around waiting for it, you do it; you love. The song is called Love Like Crazy by Lee Brice (who happens to be a SC native). {if you haven't noticed, all good country singers are from SC} =P I'll put the lyrics here in the post, but I highly encourage you to go listen to it before reading through it because the song is so much more inspiring than the words themselves.

Love Like Crazy - Lee Brice

They called him crazy when they started out
Said seventeen's too young to know what loves about
They've been together fifty-eight years now
That’s crazy

He brought home sixty-seven bucks a week
He bought a little 2 bedroom house on Maple Street
Where she blessed him with six more mouths to feed
Yeah that’s crazy

Just ask him how he did it; he'll say pull up a seat
It'll only take a minute, to tell you everything
Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy

They called him crazy when he quit his job
Said them home computers, boy they'll never take off
He sold his one man shop to Microsoft
They paid like crazy

Just ask him how he made it
He'll tell you faith and sweat
And the heart of a faithful woman,
Who never let him forget

Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin knees get lazy
And love like crazy

Always treat your woman like a lady
Never get too old to call her baby
Never let your prayin knees get lazy
And love like crazy

They called him crazy when they started out
They've been together fifty-eight years now

Ain't that crazy?

I hope you like the song as much as I do. And if you do, go buy it. It is definitely worth it. :)
